It’s
one thing to read about pertinent social issues and be a generally aware
person. It’s an entirely different thing to take that awareness to a level of personal involvement and action. Along with adjusting our

gift-giving for every season
This
list of
websites selling fairly-traded, organic, humanitarian gifts should help you
rethink how to spend your gift-giving dollars. In the spirit of
true generosity and peace, we have the opportunity to not only
appreciate those with whom we celebrate special occasions, but also to enhance
the quality of life for people around the world. Surprise someone with a hand-stitched purse from Guatemala,
a
calendar full of quotes from human rights defenders, or a couple of chickens
sent to small farms around the
globe. |
